Mastercard SecureCode
MasterCard SecureCodeIf you use MasterCard, the SecureCode provides extra security when using your card online or at a point of sale. You are required to create a secret password and personal message that must be entered when using your card online or offline. When using your card, the personal message will be displayed and if it matches what you created, you can go ahead and provide your password. If you don’t see your personal message or it's different from what you created, do not input your password.

Verified by Visa
Verified by VisaJust like with MasterCard SecureCode, Verified by Visa is a service for your VISA enabled credit card that adds layer of protection in form of a password. When using your card online or point of sale, you must provide your password or the transaction will not be successful. This helps prevent identity thieves from using your card even when they know the CCV2 code.
